Our Focus on Our Community’s Safety

A Threat to Humans and Pets

Certain areas of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, including Les Cheneaux are regarded as high-incidence “hot spots” for blastomycosis, a fungal infection that can lead to serious or fatal illness. Learn more about causes, symptoms and treatment.

COMMUNITY RELIEF Fund

With the help of many generous donors, we have established an unendowed fund that can be used to support projects that impact the Les Cheneaux Community. This fund will be used to further LCCF’s mission to do the most good – now and in the future. You can make a difference with your contribution. We are also accepting applications for grants during our twice per year grant rounds.

Local Wild Parsnip Danger

Wild Parsnip is a fast-spreading invasive plant that can cause serious burns to humans and pets. It has spread throughout
much of the U.P. including areas around Pickford and Rudyard. Actng together as a well-informed community, we have an opportunity to prevent it from overtaking Clark Twp. and the Les Cheneaux Region.
